I remember the time when groups like Jodeci or artists like Genuine weren't considered R&B by most.

That's too bad. Listening to them recently, I actually wondered why Jodeci wasn't considered to be a soul act. K-Ci and JoJo were very talented, even during some of their drugged out years.

Aren’t the guys of Jodeci a bit long in the tooth to be trying to wear the so called “saggin” style?

I guess they think that they're forever young. They'll find out soon enough that the only artists who stay young forever are the ones who die before they turn 40.

For some reason I am unable to get nostalgic about the 90's. Is is just me?

Marv, somehow in my recollection I fondly remember the '60s, '70s, and '80s, each with its own distinct music, films, feelings, and relationships. I have no nostalgic recollections of the '90s or aughts.

No Marv, it's just not you. What I saw on that video was a hot mess.

The 90s were great. Have you guys forgotten EnVogue, Keith Sweat, Whitney Houston, R. Kelly, and Mariah Carey, and Toni Braxton?

Enjoyed all the above groups....just don't feel 'nostalgic' about them. Maybe too soon?

I agree. I enjoyed the music of the 90's but it doesn't stick out in my head like the 70's and 80's. Partly because the 90's was full of sampling from the 70's and 80's.

Too bad, they used to do a good show and Casey in the 90's had a lot of stage presence.

    Sad.

I saw a recorded performance of them singing live and K-Ci Hailey was thin as a rail and looked like he was on the last day of a five-day crack high, but he sang as well as he ever did on record, if not better. Jodeci was underrated beyond words, in my opinion. Their image and antics overshadowed their music and that's a shame.
