And yet and still, You Tube did not have Southwind, Mavis Staples, Quotations, another track from Friends Of Distinction and Al Wilson, Bob & Earl, Johnny Rivers, etc. Nevertheless, it's a great list of some of his early work during the 60's.

I curious, what Willie Hutch track did the Friends of Distinction do? I'm a big fan of that
group especially Jessica Cleaves tenure in it, but for the life of me can't remember them
doing Willie's stuff, maybe I'm just getting old...

Splanky, they covered 2 of Willie's songs: "Let Yourself Go" which is the B-side of "Going In Circles" - it's on the other thread; the second song is "We Got A Good Thing Goin' On" a track from their "Highly Distinct" LP issued in 1969.

These songs are from my I-Tunes playlist. Although I own the 5th Dimension's version, I never included the song on my playlist because I wasn't crazy about it. I actually preferred the Main Ingredient's version, issued later in 1974.

I think it would be fair for folks who may never have heard CMY written by Willie and recorded by the 5th Dimension in the 60's to hear it. Couldn't find the original studio version on YT but they do have a live medley w/ Up, Up And Away.
