Re-watched the movie last night, Gerald absolutely blows this away, it's as if he was born to sing it.

I have posted this on FB several times. This performance is KILLER. Gerald was so GREAT!!! What a talent, and chip off the old block. So sad he left us too soon. The other great performance from that documentary is Joan Osborne doing "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" IMHO. The late great Bob Babbit told me the Funks liked her so much, they took her on tour with them.

I agree with everything stated here.
I love all original singers and musicians.
BUT Joan Osborne on Brokenhearted
is my all time favorite in recorded music.
