I remember reading there was a bunch of editing done to the clip; they took out the standing ovation; Smokey was very pissed about that.

I remember watching this show as a kid and hoping that Diana would win something.

I think there's another clip on YouTube that shows the entire sequence, perhaps from an international version. But most of the clips that Dick Clark Productions puts on YouTube are edited, and not always well.
