    The Marvelettes/I NEED SOMEONE [1967]

One of those Marvelettes' recordings--featuring the late, great Gladys Horton on lead here--that just gets right to it. And doesn't let go. No matter how many times it's heard. Ready . . . set . . . start counting.

Written by James Dean & William Weatherspoon.

Included on the 1967 album THE MARVELETTES--a.k.a. THE PINK ALBUM. Actually, make that the beloved PINK ALBUM.

Enjoy the lovely video and its accompanying blurb from MotownConnoisseur30, too.

The Pink Album. Ahhh...what can you say? The Marvelettes at perfection. Just a classic. Every track. Perfect. I always thought that this song sounded like a Supremes song. I love it.
