    Little Anthony & the Imperials/TWO PEOPLE IN THE WORLD [1958]

    Although released as the B-side to TEARS ON MY PILLOW, this tune was also considered a hit in its own right. A top-notch example of doo-wop that always seems to be spinning around somewhere in the back of my head. If it's new to you, I hope you will enjoy it.

    It was great for dancing The Strand, a wonderful slow dance with a whole lot of flourishes that was popularized on Bandstand at the time by 2 of the show's popular, regular dancers--Jimmy Peatross & Joan Buck, possibly the most unique and polished of dancers to have appeared on the show when it was broadcast from Philadelphia.
