Concert for the Benefit of Sandy victims

Any reviews? Reading Nona Hendryx FB page and she nailed it in terms of lack of diversity with the artists line up.

Well the cause is good and hopefully the money will be spent on relief. NY Times gave the show a generally good review, but the comments I’ve read have touched on the lack of diversity of the bill. Two African American acts, only ONE woman on the bill, and much of the bill was slanted toward aging classic rock white guys. While I suppose it’s the aging white baby boomers who have the money to give to the cause and thus there’s some sense to book a lot of aging white rockers, given the diversity of the victims of those adversely impacted by Sandy, the people who booked the show could have used a little more imagine and courage in filling out the bill.
