I did find this site that has really gotten me excited about this film. Hopefully there is enough interest to have this historical document re-released. The soundtrack on Motown Records is a taste of the magic put down that day.

Nelson George is hosting a showing of it next February at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. I don't know if there are going to be showings elsewhere. But perhaps this will be a prelude to its release.
