What's going to happen, Dave?.....Something Wonderful!

I bought the new MLB The Show 2012 on Tuesday. Mostly 'cause I love baseball and the new version is an improvement over my old one (2010). I saw this promo on the Playstation website and now for two straight days it's been the talk of Chicago. Some of us love it, some of us hate it. Check it out and see what you think

I like to think of it as a Christmas yet to come.

Do they still play the blues in Chicago
    When baseball season rolls around
    When the snow goes away
    Do the Cubbies still play
In their ivy covered burial ground

When I was a boy they were my pride and joy
But now they only bring fatigue
To the home of the brave
    The land of the free
And the doormat of the National League

No problem, Chi. I'm a Mariners fan.

Love the late Steve Goodman's "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request", though. I wonder if Steve's rooting for the Angels now?

NO WAY baby, not with this Goodman classic thrown up to the heavens after every win

Very good. I'm going to camp out in front of the TV tonight, the first Mariner Cactus League telecast comes on the tube. I don't think we've got a problem agreeing that hope springs eternal. I'm ready.

That's Jethro Burns on mandolin. Who would ever think we'd have a thread on SDF based around a Chicago folk singer?
