As I have asked many other times in regards to many other artists.....when there are expanded editions released, why in the world do they include four or five versions of the same songs and NOT include new songs that might not have been available before?

It often comes down to licensing and rights issues. I've heard many of the major labels aren't willing to license unreleased tracks to third party companies like Cherry Red. Sometimes it's also due to unreleased masters being owned by the respective artists or writers, and they aren't willing to release the material due to their own feelings on the songs themselves [ie. They may feel the song is inferior in quality] or they want a bigger payout that the reissue company is able to afford. I've heard of this happening before. Music companies and artists can be very sensitive when it comes to protecting their copyrights [I'm putting that nicely, when I'm using the word 'sensitive'...as the proper word in some cases is stingy or aggressive].

I don't know who he's talking about, but I've heard a story from a credible source that Salsoul Records dumped TONS of master tapes in the '90s, and someone near and dear to many of them actually went to where they were dumped, literally dumpster dived, and rescued many of them which are now in his possession.

To the best of my knowledge, Cherry Red dosen't make individual tracks from their collections available for purchase.
