raf vulcan crash ravendale, detroit oct.1958.anyone here see it happen or aftermath?

on oct 24th 1958 a royal airforce vulcan (v bomber) crashed in ravendale/east side, ashland? area of detroit near the lake shore, across from peche island.
the vulcan was enroute from lincoln, england to lincoln, nebraska, when it suffered a complete electrical system failure.1 pilot ejected.his seat functioned as per,but he parachuted into lake michigan and drowned,he didnt wear a life jacket and he couldnt swim.the rest of the remaining 5 crewmen were still in the bomber when it hit ravendale.and were killed in impact.took out 5 houses, nobody on the ground was seriously hurt.

any of you old enough or your parents/grandparents remember this happening?
    many thanks in advance
