    Buzz Buzz Buzz

Does anybody know how the Hollywood Argyles’ “Buzz Buzz Buzz” came to be published by Stone Agate, the Jobete Music offshoot? The song was written by Bobby Day and John Gray, and later covered by a number of acts. It was included in a Jobete promotional package [[on cassette, no less) many years later. One assumes a lawsuit was involved, somewhere.

Oops, sorry, the Hollywood Flames, not the Argyles.

Good question. DFTMC makes no mention of either the artist or the song as far as I can see [[so perhaps it became a Jobete song after the time frame of DFTMC).

This UK London single shows the writers as Gray and Byrd - Robert Byrd was also Bobby Day.

As a very wild guess, I know that Gary Byrd & The G.B. Experience had a single issued by Motown [["The Crown") in 1983 - perhaps there's some kind of link there through the Byrds.
