No, I was just guessing, having some knowledge of what you ladies keep in your handbags.

A lady friend was having coffee with a friend of hers, and they were comparing handbag contents. Her friend said "Uhhhhhh....why are you carrying that large drum of pepper around in your handbag???"

My friend looked around, to see if anyone was listening, then dropped her voice and said, slightly defensively, "wellll.....it's...it's just in case I'm.....ever assaulted..."

Her friend looked first at the drum for a second or two, looked my friend up and down very intensely and then said with a smile "well, I doubt it's ever going to warrant all THAT quantity!!!!" LOLOL

It was the title of Joan Rivers' most recent tour here in the UK.

Unfortunately, Joan died before she could even start it. Nobody was quite quick enough, and the lid won.

For her that's too bad. Although she could be not so nice at times I appreciated her spunk. And she had such a good relationship with her daughter & grandson.

There's no hard work involved in feeling oneself to be a victim. It can be assumed so very easily, and often with no clear evidence to justify those feelings.
