    Does anyone have any info about Silky Hargreaves [[D-Town, Dearborn etc)?

    Anyone have a photo?

    Hey chalky, did snakepit's show peak your curiosity? I have to say that Silky track was fantastic and I want to know more about him too.

    there is some interest on another forum regarding Silky Hargraves[[particularly a photograph), it is not my show that has prompted Chalky's post...just coincidence.
    He made a few excellent tracks....watch out for more on the SS soon.

    soul source.....good for rarer/NS stuff.....mainly for collectors/prices/values etc but good articles...worth a place in your favourites.

    Most of the backing tracks are the same. It's the vocals that are very different - but both very good. Hard to believe Davis leased Lasky's to a similarly small New York label, and they left Silky's in the can. It's my favourite Thelma backing track mix. It's right up there with top Motown quality.
