    Cleethorpes soul weekender

The 25th soul weekender @ Cleethorpes kicks off tomorrow.
Sidney Barnes is already in the UK and has done his first rehearsal. He'll be on site Saturday evening [[to do a sound check ) & then his live show will kick off at midnight.
I'll be at the sound check & the show + most probably at his autograph signing session after the show.
I'll post a few photos next week if anyone's interested.
Sidney is singing a selection of the songs he had released himself + his take on lots of the 60's songs he wrote & got other artists to sing [[Heart Trouble, Our Love Is In The Pocket, I'll Bet You, What Can I Do) ... hope he also tackles "Jerk It" even though it was the Gypsies that had that out. He wrote that with J J Jackson, who was a UK resident in the late 60's / early 70's ..... unfortunately no one knows what became of JJ after he returned to the UK [[not even Sidney). SAD.

He wrote some classics...you listed 4 of my favourites there.
Would Sidney know the vocalist on the All Kent track ?, see thread above.
    Thanks

Just back from the weekender & Sidney was great. I'm sure they'll be some clips up on Youtube by now but I ain't had time to check.
He told me a couple of fascinating stories which waitin for his part in the sound check. I'll recount them a bit later. Got to recover & download all the photos first.

Thanks, cleared up on another forum.
All Kent, as you say, put out the vocal to this great track.
Maybe the DJ was confused with "You've got to pay the price"...Dennis Coffey of course.
