Michael Jackson's daughter says TV movie 'made me want to vomit'

While I certainly understand and appreciate the outrage surrounding this casting, it must be remembered that it is actually "theater of the absurd," and never meant to be taken seriously. Granted, although Cox and Channing bear physical resemblances to Brando and Taylor yet Fiennes doesn't bear a bit of resemblance to Jackson, it's likely that no actor does. By the time period in which these fictional events were set, Michael had decided not to look black anymore, and it's doubtful, even if a concerted effort were made, that an African American actor could even be found who would bear any resemblance to him at that time, nor might there even be one who would wish to appear in whiteface. Like much of film and television, it will just require a willing suspension of disbelief on the part of the viewer.
Dang, that's pretty bad even as a parody.
