It was posted on DRS Expanded Editions that Universal will not allow Supremes to be third party licensed at this time. So i'm deducing that A Go Go will come out through Universal's new Mail Order... UdiscovermusicUS, which is the replacement of Hip-O Select and whatever Capitol/EMI's Mail Order was. Also deducing that they dumped the 3 distributors they previously used and are doing it themselves or someone new. UdiscovermusicUS is showing in new arrivals a whole bunch of Stevie Wonder stuff. The nice thing about UdiscovermusicUS is that they will also ship outside the US!

Uni may intend to release it on their website, but I also hope they release it to online retail at the same time. Limiting any release to themselves is not the way to spur sales. It just makes it harder for the average listener to find. If they're not going to promote their releases, they should at least place them where they have the best chance of being discovered and purchased by a larger number of people.

BTW, looking at their website, Cream's "Fresh Cream," deluxe set came out on 1/27/17 and shows availability there...and it's on Amazon with the same release date. Perhaps they ARE releasing to regular retail on the same day?

i do believe that almost all of the items on udiscovermusicus is also available on Amazon and other internet sellers. That was part of the reason for closing hip-o select was that they were also selling on amazon and overseas. At the end hip-o select just had exclusive for a few weeks to a month, then everywhere else got it.

I forgive the needle drops because most of this is so much obscure and hard to find. Looking forward to adding this second volume to my collection. Thanks for the heads up, Mystery Singer!
