I just heard the news on WBLS. Sad. He was great at his peak in the mid 80s. I knew he was having some issues from about a year ago. I never knew his age until now. Rest in peace Colonel and than you for the great music.

This is sad news ... his song "Trapped" was one of the biggest selling records of 1985 in The UK [[reached #3, 23 weeks on the national chart and reputed to have sold well over 400,000 copies).

He had a great soulful voice, Perfect for both soul and house music, and he was quite a character too as i recall!!
