I Wish It Would Rain band track

Love this, the Tempts' backgrounds, the Funks and strings only. This youtuber has some more fairly recents backing track uploads, but this is the one I'd never heard. I can even hear Otis!

Doesn't it kind of start off like Dionne Warwick's "Message to Michael". This is absolutely haunting.

Funk Brothers tracks were scientific creations in the truest sense...Those guys could roll out of bed and fall right into whatever was being recorded...

Yes, that intro is right out of Message To Martha, which I also love

I kinda of felt that or that it gave me the same melancholy feeling I get when I hear the intro to "Message to Michael or Martha".

This is extraordinary! Another great one [[in my opinion of course) is the instrumental track for J5's "Never Can Say Goodbye".

Great; thanks for sharing this. And as others have pointed out, the piano [[with bass) on the intro is reminiscent of "Message To Michael" [[which once again shows much the producers/writers at Motown paid attention to what was on the radio at that time).
