My goodness, this year takes the cake for losses. RIP, Mr. Sanders. I always loved "Soulful Strut."

Wasn't that a great song by Barbra Acklin. Rest in peace Sonny.

Oh, yeah, "Am I the Same Girl" is nice. I'm partial to the Young-Holt Unlimited instrumental, though; that was one of the 45s I grew up with. Good times.

Amazing that long-time friends, fellow group members and ex-business partners pass on within a few weeks. I'm a big fan of Sonny's arrangements, both in the Chicago Sound and Detroit Sound genres. I have hundreds of records on which Sonny participated in the production. Same for Robert Bateman.

I was shocked to read this. Sonny and I were in touch by email a while back. I was so fortunate to have been in The Sunliners when Sonny became our producer. RIP Sonny. You rocked.

People just don't know how important these gentlemen were to the Detroit Music scene.

I was unaware that Herman Griffin was a fellow group member of the Satintones.

Also, where was Sonny living when he passed? California or Michigan?
The articles [[2) that I saw made no mention of where he resided.

I am sorry. Typing too fast. I meant to say James Ellis and Chico Leverett.
