A very funny guy and one of my favorites:

I never would have guessed he was so old. He came late to movies.

He was such a great, yet underrated talent. Gene Wilder's eyes conveyed a deeper range of emotion than most actors are capable of portraying with words and facial expression. His early films with Richard Pryor were fantastic. Watch him in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", "Blazing Saddles", "Silver Streak", and his other films from the '70s and you will see something both very sad and happily special. Sadly, he never seemed the same after the death of Gilda Radner. I haven't seen him in anything for years, but his passing is still very sad to me. My prayers are with his family. RIP.
