If they do take the death penalty off the table, they will set a very interesting precedence. On a more visceral note: there are tons of Black men who got executed for much less than what Roof did. Roof doesn't wanna die, so, kill him! He sure didn't give his victims a choice, did he? Screw all that forgiveness bullshit! Fry his ass, hang him, shoot him, gas him, or whatever they do down there. All he's gonna do in prison is become a hero to the racists, and give the guys on this side something to aspire to. And, we, the taxpayer, will have to support him until he dies. He won't get bumped off in there. They'll segregate him with the white guys, and he'll probably join the neo-nazis or something. Make him fry!
