    Times Square Records - Top 150 in Sales Listings

    I hope this gets some attention. I didn't really know which forum to post it in.

    I have a collection of 16 Times Square Record listings from the early 1960's.
    Irving Slim Rose published these sporadically and they showed their listings in numerical sequence by title and artist and listings in previous months.

    Has anyone ever been to TSR in their lifetime? It was amazing.

    At any rate, I have the following copies available:
    12/60; 5/61; 8/61; 10/61; 2/62; 4/62; 9/62; 10/62; 11/62; 12/63-1/63; 7/63;
    12/63; 1/64-2/64; 5/64; 9/64; and 12/64-1/65.

    Please private email me if you have any interest in any of these.

    Thank you.

    I vaguely remember a TIMES SQUARE RECORD SHOP in a subway arcade near 6th Avenue and 42d Street. I was there once or twice and don't remember much about the place. A place above ground on 42d near Broadway was KING KAROL RECORDS. Used to go there every Friday for hard to get stuff and then eat next door at TAD's with their lousy $ 1.19 steak served cafeteria style.

    I'm off topic here, but the sales people at KING KAROL were so smart about music, that we constantly tried to stump them. Once we asked if they had anything by Sonja Henie . She was a world class ice skating star. Without missing a beat, the salesman recommended the soundtrack to Sun Valley Serenade. He said, "If you listen carefully, you can hear her skating in the background"
