    The Greene Sisters

I've never heard of this group. Does anyone know anything about them?
    I might consider this one.

    About May 5, 2016
    CD

A great album of rare soul! These girls are fierce – like The Sweet Inspirations, but pumped up with a lot more righteousness. They're produced here by Jerry Williams – but the real strength of the record is the arrangements by Richard Rome, slightly funky, in a deep southern soul kind of mode, with nice touches of Philly grooving. The album kickes off with the "Shaft"-like funky tune "Theme For Sisters Greene" – then moves into a bunch of spiritual and secular tunes sung to perfection, and linked together with some cool "seque" instrumental bits. Titles include "A New Day Never Comes", "When Will We Be Paid for The Work We Did", "My God Is Able", and "I Can See A Light". © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sometimes the Green Sisters..... other times The Greene Sisters. Rather like Al Green who started out as Al Greene, his birth name...
