    Didn't expect to see any mention of Papa Wemba's passing on any part of this forum. I got
    the news yesterday but since I know the vast majority of folks never pay any attention to
    any artist outside of the main "comfort zone" they've maintained since childhood, I didn't
    think it was worth the time posting here. At least one other person has heard of him so I
    guess I was wrong. I've been a major fan of his music for more than 20 years...RIP...

    It was very nice to hear what other African performers like Manu Dibango, Angelique
    Kidjo and Fela's son Femi Kuti had to say about Papa Wemba and like Angie I'm still not
    quite over it . He was so good...Sala Keba by the way means Be Careful...
