    Looks like the RIAA has finally thrown in the towel on physical sales. As a result several artists past and present are retroactively reaching gold and platinum status. Hopefully, this doesn't deter the need for physical purchases.

    It's another nail in the CD coffin.

    Man, I just bought some Stevie Wonder mono singles in lossless FLAC files that are unavailable on CD and never will be. There are other things that I want that if I can't find them on used CD, it's going to have to be a lossless download. The world is changing.

    I like vinyl, but I don't have the time or money for it. The stuff is expensive, and I would want to make a digital copy of it, anyway.

    The RIAA darn near died.

    And they are trying to blow their trumpet as much as they can here but I'm not sure they are even relevant anymore.

    They had to do something!
