    Very well done indeed!

    Gang,i was just listening to[washed ashore-the platters]and wow that thing is sung very well,with every word understood i forget who the lead was after[tony williams]but he did a great job.

    Oh "My Prayer" was my prayer! That was my favorite by the Platters. So dramatic, sincere and to the point. Loved that song.

    I think Sonny Turner is still alive, and also Gaynel Hodge from the original line-up is still alive and still working [[?)....

    Sonny Turner lives here in Vegas. In 1966 when he recorded with The Platters for Musicor he changed the sound to a more soul genre style of the day.

    Tony Williams was a fabulous singer in more the jazz & pop vain.
    Love them both, especially Tony whom Paul Robi says loved and thought he was Jimmy Scott! Gotta love that!!!
