    Miss betty everett-the classy one

Just a shout out to one of the ladies of soul whose name doesn't get mentioned much, with such hits as..let it be me[with jerry butler]-you're no good-the shoop shoop song-there'll come a time, betty everett was a singin soul sister of the sixties who was low profile and classy, maybe her religous background had something to do with it one of the best ever!

    Now you're talking.

Betty Everett had a singing voice which was authoritative, yet also reproachful and plaintive.....
