Primettes early backup vocals

In reading the first chapter of Ian Phillips DIANA ROSS: Reflections, he make the following previously unknown to me statement on early backup vocals by the Primettes.

Wilson Pickett's : Let Me Be Your Boy
Eddie Floyd's: I'm Your Yo Yo Man
Gene Martin's: Lonely Nights
James Velvet's: Bouquet of Flowers
Al Garner's: All I Need Is You
James Dee's: My Pride
Don Revel's: The Return of Stagger Lee

He states that these sessions were later dug out the vaults and compiled for a 1969 LP.

I have the Ember CD The Primettes/Eddie Floyd "Looking Back" which includes the Eddie Floyd song above "I'm Her[[sic) Yo Yo Man; the Al Garner "All I Need Is You" attributed to the Primettes; and the Don Revel "Return of Stagger Lee" attributed to the Primettes.

Does anyone have or know of an LP which includes all 7 of these early recordings that the Primettes sang back up on? I never heard of it.

I remember an lp Primettes were featured on maybe called Looking Back..the Detroit sound or something like that.

This is quite inaccurate. Several of those cuts were backed by The Supremes, after The Primettes ceased to exist, The Supremes were signed to Motown in late 1960. Most of those cuts above were recorded in 1961 and 1962, while The Supremes moonlighted at night with their former employer, Robert West [[Lupine Records), and Wilbur Golden's Correc-Tone Records.

Sorry, I stand corrected. It was spring 1961 that The Supremes signed with Motown. My point still stands, that they wereThe Supremes, signed with Motown, but moonlighting for Wilbur Golden's Correc-Tone Records in 1962, on Wilson Pickett's and James Velvet's cuts, and, I believe, on a few other cuts on that list, done for Robert West's LuPine Productions, such as James Dee and Gene Martin.

Gene Martin's record was released in 1962. It is POSSIBLE that his cuts were recorded in 1961, before The Primettes signed with Motown. But, I don't think so. They sound like 1962 recordings.

The Primettes also backed up Al Garner on "I'll Get Along", "Searchin' For My Baby" and "Baby Won't You Change Your Mind" for Lupine Records in 1961. The James D. Cuts were likely in 1961, before they signed with Motown. So, only the Correc-Tone and Gene Martin's cuts were done moonlighting after signing with Motown.

Yes, that "Detroit Sound" LP had most of those cuts, but, I think it was released in 1985. The 1969 LP was put out by Robert West's Lupine Records, and only had the Robert West Lupine and Flick productions, but not The Wilson Pickett and James Velvet cuts, as they were produced by Wilbur Golden's Correc-Tone Records, and not the James Dee cuts, which also had nothing to do with West.
