I well remember that, from back in the day!
I bet that wouldn't have happened if Diana and/or Mary, Jean and Cindy had been around...but, to this day, any interview with Sheila Ferguson [[a UK resident for many years) usually includes reference to it.....
He clearly followed protocol, having recognised Motown's own Royalty when he saw it....
I have a lot of time for Shelia, a lot of mates have met her and they say nice things. She's quite chatty on Facebook but I've not seen her bring up Charlie. She doesn't bring up the 3 Degrees either or I miss those conversations
To be fair to Sheila, it's usually reporters bring up the subject of Prince Charles, and she doesn't usually make too much of it.
Last year, Sheila did announce that she would indeed 'talk about their friendship' in her forthcoming autobiography.....but she did also admit that she hadn't started writing it....
Hey i didn't know that prince charles was so cool, he needs to come down to da hood an hang out with me.
Dang, and the luck mollyfock looked like he knew what he was doing too...
BTW, Sheila needs to get herself started on on that book. She and none of us are getting any
younger. Seems like every other month somebody's releasing their memoirs or someone
else is telling their story. In the last year George Clinton, Herbie Hancock, Sheila E, George
Benson, Phillip Bailey and Janis Gaye have all entertained and sometimes even shocked me..Anyway, though I've loved them, sometimes it bothers me to listen to The Three Degrees simply because they were the favorite group of an ex-girlfriend of mine and the
break-up was a bit messy. Liked their update of The Chantels Maybe very much,tho...
Shelia seems far too busy to wrote a book. If you follow her on Facebook, she is working almost non-stop.
