There might be another thread about this or just about Nina. I saw it and liked it and say that Nina is very underrated. Pound for pound she could hang with Aretha. Nina lacked the hit records and name recognition but they both had a feel for singing that separated them from even the cream of the crop then and now. They both are/were excellent interpreters of songs they did not write. They both could play that piano very, very well with Nina getting the nod her classical training. They also had abusive and manipulative husbands. They are my top two female singers without a doubt.
