Does anyone know who Ed Wingate used to press his records for his various labels, GW, RT, Wingate, etc. Was it always the same outfit or did he use different pressing plants?

Ed Wingate and JoAnne Jackson used several different pressing plants. The main one he used was Columbia Midwest, whose mastering operation was located in at Columbia Studios in Chicago, and pressing plant was located at Terre Haute, Indiana. Most of the 1964 second series Golden World, Ric Tic and most Wingate releases were pressed there. He also used Monarch Pressing Plant in L.A. for records distributed in Western US, and used some East Coast pressing plants on special occasions for distribution in the East, and used some small Detroit and other Michigan pressing plants for special press runs and for the 1962-63 First Golden World/Ric Tic releases, as well as for the JW label. Many of the first series, 1962-63 rleases were pressed in New York or other East Coast plants. Later, post Motown buyout Ric Tics were mainly pressed at Columbia Midwest, but the 1971 Golden World [["Stompin' Crazy legs" by The Modern Times, was pressed by a local Midwest plant [[maybe American or Archer?)
This shows how much this forum has changed since the golden years. In 2007, several others would have chimed in adding the names of the local plants, and even when they were used.
No Robb, but look on the bright side - ther are now loads of people who could tell you if Diana Ross ever broke a fingernail in one of them or put a whoopee cushion under Mary Wilson's chair...
I have no doubt about that!
