    Why so serious?

    Gang,there are some songs that seems like the artist wasn't smiling when it was recorded...who will take the blame[the miracles]...deep in my soul[bobby blue bland]...love's gonna rain on you[archie bell and the drells]...please return your love to me[the temps]...the sea and she[new rotary connection]...no girl[billy stewart] whatcha got?

    "Boys In Blue" by View From the Hill. Song about how many of the singer's friends failed to return from war. I'm crying as I'm posting this.

    And "Toby", by the Chi-Lites. There are plenty of country songs, but "Please Don't Take The Girl" by Tim McGraw is one that he shouldn't smile when singing in concert. Unless he wants to lose his female fans.

    By the way, I hate you for this thread.

    "Ain't No Sunshine" is another one. "Better off dead?!" Really? Oh, and "By The Time I Get To Phoenix". Dang if I don't need a shot just thinking about these songs, man.
