Denise has been honored with a prestigious award in the blues arena. Not only that but it sounds like she has other plans for the future and doesn't appear to be ready to slow down anytime soon, although she turns 76 next month.

As for the new album she is working on, glad to hear that is still in the pipeline, although this is now the third different title I have heard for it since it was first mentioned. But maybe that happens in the music business.

Nice news to hear! Ms. LaSalle's blues recordings get played here in the NY area on WBGO.org during Bob Porter's Sat AM programs; he's quite a champion of Ms. LaSalle.

Good for him. Since she is a Southern soul singer by nature, I am glad to hear that someone up north admires and promotes her music.
