Thanks for that article! I had no idea Don Davis bought the place.

One thing I have noticed about the majority of recordings that were done there: the hi-hat has a lot of high-frequency energy. I wonder if they tended to use the same mic on it, of if it was just the preference of the engineer who did those recordings. My CDs are boxed away, so I am not sure who did the engineering on what.
