    Spooky Motown

On the way home from work my iPod in shuffle mode played There's A Ghost In My House and My Baby Must Be A Magician. This got me thinking about creating a "Spooky Motown" playlist. I've come up with the following songs but seek your help for others as it won't be much of a playlist as it stands [[perhaps it's not a good idea)

There's A Ghost In My House
My Baby Must Be A Magician
    7 Rooms Of Gloom

    Thanks.

THE SATINTONES - "You Cast A Spell On Me".

SHORTY LONG - "Devil In A Blue Dress"

MARTHA & THE VANDELLAS - "Mobile Lil The Dancing Witch" [[there is also a version by EARL VAN DYKE in addition to the one by SHORTY LONG that has already been mentioned).

MARVIN GAYE - "This Magic Moment".

    Roger

P.S. ... songs like "Shake Me, Wake Me" and "Where Did You Go" always sound quite "spooky" to me as well.

spookiest Motown song ever, for the organ parts alone - 'The Night' by the Four Seasons [[particularly the UK single mix where the first two lines are sung just by the other Seasons and not Valli).

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Tempts version of "Smiling Faces". That one sounds like something out of a horror flick.

Temptations - Runaway Child, Running Wild

I suppose, on first listens, "Love Machine" and Melvin Franklin on "Give It To Me Baby" can be pretty unsettlingly "spooky"...
