I saw that this morning. I'm glad someone took notice and investigated. No doubt, police all over the place are trying to rewrite history, or put a pro-police slant on things. I hope Wiki put the original text back and locked the page.

That's the nature of Wikipedia. Everything that you read there should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm sure someone in the union regularly reads and edits posts. I'm also sure they post in the comment sections of articles about their abuses, trying to discredit the writers and victims.

I just think that it is incredibly arrogant for them to attempt to do such a thing. Cover ups are one thing, changing the facts that have been public for years is another...............

We cannot expect accuracy from Wikipedia since it can be edited by anyone with access to the site.

Step 1: Find the “edit” button on a page in Wikipedia that you would like to correct.
Step 2: Edit said page so it is correct to your favorable viewpoint.
Step 3: OH MY GOD! IT’S NOW CORRECT!!!!

Wikipedia will NEVER be reliable until it allows public discourse, a.k.a “comments” to it’s articles.

Exactly. It was not permitted to be cited for my college papers for those reasons. However, it was a great resource for legitimate articles that helped me do my research.
