You're right, glencro. He's trying to rationalize what he did, even mentioning that he "medicated" himself to preform. I don't know how anyone except someone with a violent attitude would condone a man hitting a young woman. Anyone, really, for no reason. He had a choice. He could have stopped playing until the people left the stage, and whoever it was to stop yelling obscenities at him. He could have left the stage. We all have choices.
