Wow, what memories this song brings.....
WOW! We kids had so much fun singing this song!
esp when my 7 yr old brother sang "Chuck" in the car with my parents, wow I got a whippin.
Ms.ellis was fine..wow!!
Where is she today?anyone know?
Very sorry to hear that marv, she was a great singer, and beautiful too.
She must have been in seclusion I was never able to find later pics of her or what she was doing all of these years. So much more than the Name Game and the Clapping Song she could really sing.
She had left show business. Remember Shy One?
Very talented! Thanks for posting Marv!
Thanks Marv, as I had no clue she was no longer living. I've wondered for years where she was and why she wasn't working. Her first hit I remember was "The Nitty Gritty" followed by "This Is What The Nitty Gritty Really Is" and both had a "live" effect. I think Stevie Wonder's "Fingertips" was responsible for a lot of records using a "live" sound. Anyway, she later recorded for Columbia Records where she had "Soul Time".
What about Lincoln Chase?
