Prolific Songwriter/Singer Rose Marie McCoy has gone onto glory in the soulful choir of heaven. Rosie will be missed by many, she wrote numerous hits, hundreds of songs recorded by well-known artists for many record labels.
Rosie wrote several songs Jimmy recorded when he was on Roost, Savoy, & King Records in the 1950's. They also sang on the same gig together. Jimmy was also interviewed for her documentary. She appears in Jimmy's Bravo Profiles: Jazz Masters documentary that aired on t.v. in 1999 & 2000.
Rosie's bio was recently released, quite a large book, I just received my copy and haven't had the chance to read it yet.
Rosie was born in 1923 and was 92 years old, two years younger than Jimmy would be this year. May she rest now in peace and love. Jimmy will be there to welcome her.

[[ * I have numerous photo's of Rosie thru the years but for whatever reason [[as usual) none would post to this site. Too bad the photo's won't upload no matter wha tthe size.)
