I've read articles on this site that are purely sensationalist and hearsay. I don't trust it. For example:

"After Diana Ross left the Supremes in 1970, Tammy was being considered to replace her but due to her illness and her preference to remain a solo artist, Motown abandoned the idea."

That immediately stood out, since Jean was already decided even before Diana left, and Tammi was way too ill by this time and her consideration had been dropped long before.
