YES YES AND YES. Diana Ross brought the modern day DIVA to the forefront - when then masses did not even know what a DIVA really was.

What the world believes one to be is a beautiful, glamourous, dressed to the 9's, female singer. The rest people tack on is an individual thing.

There was another Diva poll a week ago......Diana was #1, Barbra was 3, Aretha was about 8.

RERE will not like that she is ranked about 8 - although she does have the number 8 sewn inside ALL of her clothes, so I guess that is about right. 8 right?

Actually, Rob... a Diva is an opera singer... one pictures her with metal breast plates sometimes.

Sorry to disillusion anyone.....but, opera singers look quite different in this day and age (for the most part). Check out the wonderful,Russian soprano, Anna Netrebko.

Yes, that was the old cliche....and, sometimes pretty accurate! LOL! Many of today's opera singers have their own stylists, personal trainers, etc. Gone are the helmet with horns and breast shields....thank God!
