RIP Udo Jurgens

Austrain Schalger singer Udo Jurgens has passed away at the age of 80. He sold almost 100 million records and wrote almost 1,000 songs through his 50 year career, as well as winning the Eurovision song contest in 1966. He had yearly specials on the German TV network ZDF throughout the 70's, and the Supremes appeared with him on his 1977 show:

I knew he was a big star in Europe. I was introduced to him via the Supremes appearance on his show back in the 70s. Since then I check out some of his recordings online and the was good. He could sing. Rest in peace Udo!
