Why Clyde McPhatter is not held in higher regard among all-time great R&B singers baffles me. His influence is still felt to this day.

Thanks jerry,he only influenced a whole generation of singers,one of the first great tenors in what was then[rhythm an blues]he found one of the great groups of all time[the drifters]and embarked on a very sucessful solo career.
