Mary Wilson Gave a Half Hour Interview This Weekend

Mary Wilson gave an interview over the weekend. One thing at the end of the interview confused me. She said that she has eight grandchildren and they range from 9 1/2 to 35. How could that be? Was she combining the statistics of her children and grandchildren? She says that she would love to have a hit record, but she is realistic enough to know that the odds are against her, the industry has changed, and it is an industry that caters to the younger generation

It's possible for her to have a grandchild of 35 if her adopted son Wilie had a child before he reached twenty.

Time flies......! I remember when Mary took her live radio broadcast for WWRL out to Nevada to the delivery room area when her granddaughter Mia was born back in 1998! LOL!!!!

Then it is possible. I was thinking of Turkessa's first child who Marv said was born in 1998.

And in this article, there is a picture of Mary, Turkessa and Mia and it is labeled "Mary with first grandchild"

I forgot about Mary's adapted child Willie.

So Mary has been a grandma since she was 35. Cool !!

Yes thanks. Amazing she is 70 and looks 45 if that.. Just flew in to Boston, up early , going to perform.. She is very articulate.

I would say she looks somewhere between 40-45 even without sleep. She doesn't age. Always was the most articulate in the group according to Mrs. Edwards.

How many children and grandchildren do you have?
I have three children and eight grandchildren. I have one adopted son in his fifties—so he contributed to the grandchildren.
So its possible the 35 year old mentioned is Willie's.
