Many thanks for all the help. Bradsupremes and Reese have it right about Mabel Robinson being the dancer on HULLABALOO. It could well be Mabel in the photo with The Supremes as Bradsupremes has noted. Can anyone else confirm that?

The photo of the Supremes and the dancer seem to be taken from the Hullabaloo appearance where the girls sang BACK IN MY ARMS AGAIN.

But the Frankie Avalon video Carole provided has the black female dancer being introduced as a Barbara Alston ? The video is not clear, so I cannot tell if it is the same woman.

Barbara Alston may well be the girl in the picture; the connection may be either Hulaballoo or the Sammy Davis Show.

Mabel Robinson went on to be a featured actress/dancer in Ossie Davis's Cotton Comes to Harlem [[anybody remember her striptease with a bale of cotton in a plantation motif?). She also was a featured dancer in Lumet's film of ​The Wiz.

Here is a clip from Hullabaloo of The Supremes with Frankie Avalon. In the background the dancers are wearing the sweatshirts with the guitar. This is a clip of them performing Stop! which was a small bit from the 1965 Number One hits medley from that final show of the 1964-1965 season, May 11, 1965. I can't seem to find the whole thing on youtube. I will try to watch my VHS tape of the performance to see if there is a close-up of the dancer in question.

Johnjeb - Thank you so much for posting that clip from 5/11/65, the show when The Supremes appeared to sing BACK IN MY ARMS AGAIN, as Reese mentioned. And the clip also proves it was one of the HULLABALOO dancers in the photo with The Supremes, as Bradsupremes originally pointed out.

So we're down to this: Is it Mabel Robinson or Barbara Alston?

The dancer in question who's dancing with Marvin Gaye to AIN'T THAT PECULIAR on HULLABALOO is Mabel Robinson.

But I believe Carole Cucumber has it right: It seems to be Barbara Alston in the photo with The Supremes. And as Reese heard Frankie Avalon introduce.
