That's right. We may think it just isn't working for them, which does infer that whatever we are doing is working for us...but no, often it isn't. We often can't help ourselves, can't help them and sadly, they can't help us, either.

    Got to keep pushing....

I'm less interested in states than I am international geography. For example, if I'm Australian, in the kitchen, and WGB is Asian in the basement, what would that make arr&bee in the bathroom?

arr&bee, European! Hardy har har har... Nyuck nyuck.

It's phonetically a hoot. Less so on the typed page.

Yeah , I got that. Also, you're Australian because you're Oz. It was why WGB is Asian I didn't get.

Actually, the Oz and Australia have nothing to do with it... It's just a joke for kids with emphasis on the peein'. Because it's funny to say 'peein''.

You guys are a tough crowd.

The fork bumped into the spoon on a city street one day. "Hey, pal!" said the fork. "Who was that ladle I saw you with last night?"

"Ladle?" replied the spoon quizzically. "That was no ladle, that was my knife."

I dare you not to tell that one to a room full of laughs. If it works, come back; I've got a ton of 'em.

I just came up with a great idea for a film about a tailor for lawyers who gets caught up in criminal hijinx. I'm calling it 'Lawsuits'.

I'm looking forward to the sequel, which will have the protagonist from 'Lawsuits' shutting down his shop and opening an underwear store for the same clientele. I'm calling it 'Legal Briefs'.

'And finally, I'd like to thank the one person responsible for my success. The one without who I would never be able to stand before you and accept this wonderful, wonderful award. <hiccup!> I suppose we all have our muses and if so, I must dedicate this Oscar to whoever made that batch of hooch from the wood alcohol two years ago. It put me into a coma for two months <hiccup!> and gave me just enough brain damage to conceive of this this film. Thank you all. God bless you and good night! <hiccup!>"

Good speech jerry,of course the film hasn't been made yet,but good looking ahead, the oscars?well i was actually aiming a little lower..the golden turkey awards is where i'm headed ever since i saw that cinema classic[the thing with two heads]i was hooked and at the show only one head showed up for the award...i think they argued over who would be last in billing and the other head refused to show.

I have been arguing with my cousin Cootie over whether Rosie Grier or Ray Milland should have been considered the 'lead actor' in 'The Thing With Two Heads'. I guess neither got nominated for an Oscar since the Academy couldn't figure it out either. Tough break for both guys.

I believe that "The Thing With Two Heads" is going to be remade with Zaphod Beeblebrox in the lead role.

Zaphod Beeblebrox invented the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster, which is as potent and as illusory as R&B's hooch.

'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' is perhaps the most English book ever written. It didn't translate well in American as television or movie. I feel like you guys got the joke and we're too simple to figure it out sometimes...

I would never be so rude as to say that...

Incidentally, HGTTG started off as a serial on BBC radio. I tuned in to Episode 1 by accident, and I continued listening to the whole series because I'd never heard anything like it in my life. I doubt if the Discworld series would have been so successful if HGTTG had not paved the way.

The same could be said of 'Dr. Who', could it not? The present series is an evolved version of the first. Since the universe was known, few that have watched it since the '60s are thrown into the current series cold. As a result, people who are 60 or 70 years old can enjoy it, even if they aren't likely to want to watch modern sci-fi fare like the new Star Wars films or 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.

I had Whoopie pegged for the lead role in the Mamie Van Doren biopic that I'm writing. I think I can get it into her hands to read as soon as the restraining order expires next year.

    'Whoopie' - ??!

I would imagine that longterm use could well numb the brain...so then it would be back to the double negatives.

Were you lying when you said you were telling the truth, or were you telling the truth when you said you were lying, or were you lying when you said you were lying?
