The sad thing is many average fans of music don't see they are just tribute acts.

I don't see anything wrong with it. They are not professing to be the original acts. And if an "average fan" really thinks that a twenty five year old on stage is the original artist that recorded the song fifty years ago, he deserves to be fooled.
