They still had a full orchestra on tour.....that's impressive. Always liked this single...and Jean Terrell's version of "Time and Love" is simply divine, also on this album.

Wow - this is sensational - my fave version for sure. Mary and Scherrie are amazing. Mary is way ahead of her '71 vocal. Model of The Year used to be my fave Touch - plus I like to hear Lynda, but I never like how Jean steps on Mary's lines and Scherrie is way better anyway on this. Thanks for posting this!

Scherrie sounds good but not a favorite of mind.

I think the contrast between Mary & Jean is too great as Mary's voice is heavy and musky while Jean, especially following Mary, sounds a little too piercing for me. I've always thought Touch should have been all Mary, but now, I think Mary/Scherrie would have been the best bet. I not knocking Jean's talent, but Scherrie's voice is more,...............soothing, like Mary's, for duet purposes. It may not be a coincidence that the two hits JMC had were both in Jean's lower register. Even EGTRTL, hardly smash hit material, is brought to life by the deft, exquisite vocal Jean does on it - lower again.
