What's your favorite Martha Reeves song? This is mine!!!
next to Mary Wells, Martha Reeves will always be my fave singer. Martha is a wonderful person. The first time I met her was Nov. 1962, she was Mary Wells room mate at the hotel where I went to meet Mary. Happy Birthday, dear Martha!
Mine's "I'm Ready for Love".
Anyone know what happened to Roberta75? I haven't seen a post since late May.

She is my second favorite singer right after Wanda Rogers. Hers was the first Motown group that I really liked, and one of the very first albums I ever bought was "Martha and the Vandellas Greatest Hits."
Favorite song" I think it's gotta be "Nowhere to Run." Never has being stalked seemed so sexy and dangerous at the same time! Favorite line? "When I look in the mirror to comb my fair, I see your face just smiling there!" I realize in the song the "stalking" is all in the singer's mind; it's her thoughts about the guy that are haunting her. But when I heard it I always visualized him following her wherever she went [[and likely it could be interpreted either way). This complexity or duality in the lyrics was brilliant, I think.
I have been thinking the same, thanxal.
My favourites from Martha include some of her biggest :
Dancing In The Street
Heat Wave
Quicksand
Nowhere To Run
Jimmy Mack
and so many more, including Forget Me Not, No One There....
In addition to her own busy career, I can't think of anyone else from Martha's era in the Hitsville days who does more to keep alive the music and memories of Motown. Here in the UK, Martha is held in the highest regard and affection.
As Martha herself will say to her fans and friends....
"Love, and God Bless, Martha", and enjoy your day....
[QUOTE=blueskies;242281]I've been wondering about that too, thanxal. Roberta75 seems to have dropped off the grid?
OMG I was thinking the same i wonder if ONE of her enemies on this site has stalked her and set on his threats, hope not.
My Martha Faves:
Nowhere To Run
Bless You
I Should Be Proud
Hope I Don't Get My Heart Broke

Wow - she is a fine lady!
Favorite Martha and the Vandellas songs:
My Baby Loves Me; Nowhere to Run; Tear it Down; I Should be Proud; Dancing in the Streets; and oddly enough, in a guilty pleasure sort of way, Wild One.
I still love "Heatwave" and another favourite is "No More Tearstained Make-Up"
It would be easier and faster to do a list of songs I don't like by Martha! There are so many great songs. And she also has so many previously unreleased songs that finally came out on her Lost & Found CDs that are so good! Some of my favorites of those are:
I Can't Understand It
Keep Stepping [[And Never Look Back)
Take It Off
Full Speed Ahead
I'll Take A Raincheck
Let Me Fall In Love With You
Talking 'Bout Love
Testifying For Love
I've Gotta Have Somebody To Rely On
It's Easy To Fall In Love [[With A Guy Like You)
Mine are:
Heat Wave
Nowhere to Run
Come And Get These Memories
I Should Be Proud
Leave It In the Hands Of Love
Well, I think I will submit my other favorites as well.
All time favorite: Nowhere to Run
Other favorites:
Bless You
I Want You Back [[only Martha could outsing Michael!)
Anyone Who Had a Heart [[only Martha could outsing Dionne!)
Hitch Hike [[only Martha could outsing Marvin!)
Love [[Makes Me Do Foolish Things)

You've Been in Love too Long [[Great Ivy Jo Hunter groove on the piano)
